Catullus Bound – free exhibition

In collaboration with Senate House Library and Isobel Williams, we have a free exhibition, Catullus Bound, in the third-floor lobby throughout Michaelmas term 2023.

Isobel draws live performances of Japanese rope bondage (shibari), the setting for her translations in Switch: The Complete Catullus.

The exhibition combines her drawings with books from the Hellenic and Roman Library and Senate House Library, including a first edition Baskerville Virgil from 1757.
