Maps / Atlases

The Library collection includes a section on Maps, including sheet maps, and Atlases as well as Lexicons on place names in antiquity. 

Maps / Atlases

The main collection of atlases / place name lexicons are classified at 222A- 222F and are shelved at the far end of the Library through the double doors just beyond the Computer Room.  The series Der römische Limes in Österreich and Der Obergermanisch-Raetische Limes des Roemerreiches are here too, shelved at 236.  Older atlases and maps are classified at 246H-K and these are not on the open shelves. Please request these at the library desk, as with the the large scale sheet maps covering Italy / Sicily  (1: 100,000) and Greece / Crete (1:50,000).
